3D Architectural Visualization

Enrollment is Closed
Learn to create photo realistic 3D visualizations from architectural drawings, using free and open source tool: Blender.
Registration will be open till Thursday, December 8, 2016.

About This Course

Trained personnel who can create photo realistic architectural visualizations are required in the real estate industry. Many students look forward to this career, however, lack of suitable courses, and the cost of proprietary software makes it difficult.

SKARC101x will introduce the basic concepts of architectural visualization. The course will use Blender (free and open source tool) to demonstrate the concepts explained in the course.

Course contains sessions about:
  • importing architectural drawings,
  • creating 3D structure
  • applying material/texture/lights,
  • placing camera, and
  • rendering the output

Course explains the best practices and practical difficulties encountered during the process, using appropriate examples. There are 4 quizzes and many hands-on activities. Candidates securing 55% or more marks in the quizzes, would be eligible for an Honour Code certificate from IITBombayX.
